Canna 'Striped Beauty'

Sold Out for 2008

Canna 'Striped Beauty'Striped Beauty has truly striking foliage with green and white streaks. The flowers are yellow with a white stripe down the center of each petal. Dwarf canna, 3 ft. tall. Very nice grown in a pot or planter.

Origin: Thailand, 1923. Also known as 'Bangkok', 'Christ's Light', 'Minerva', 'Nirvana'.

Plant Your Rhizomes:

Select a sunny location. Prepare the soil with deep digging and plenty of organic matter. Plant when danger of freezing has past. Rhizomes should lay horizontally. Plant 2-3 inches deep and 18-24 inches apart. Soil should be damp, but not wet until growth appears. Be patient. You may also grow your cannas in large pots.

Canna Care:

Full sun. Increase water as growth appears. Mulch well with organic matter. Cannas are heavy feeders. I like to use a time release fertilizer.
